Water pollution is one of the most prominent environmental concerns throughout India, and although more and more regions are gaining access to clean water, there are still many towns and villages where access to clean water is a problem. It’s so important that we try to raise awareness of the effects of water pollution, and show how we can do our part to conserve the clean water that we do have.
Conserving clean water and learning to use it sensibly is an important topic to teach our kids. After all, it’s their actions that are going to make the difference for future generations.

Educational Poster Design
When teaching your kids about important environmental factors, it’s best to take a fun approach to keep them interested. Asking you children to produce their own poster on water pollution is an excellent idea. Making educational posters is a tactile experience, and kids always learn better in hands-on environments. How your children choose to design their posters is entirely up to them, but the pictures should convey an important message - that pollution is a serious problem, and we all need to do our part.
If they’re looking for ideas, perhaps suggest posters that depict rainwater collection for use in the home, for example, or posters showing how recycling can reduce landfill which can, in turn, reduce water pollution. As for art materials – anything goes! Paints, crayons, pens, string, card… the sky’s the limit!
Use whatever you have in your craft box, but always make sure there is plenty of glue and glitter – the two best parts of any craft box! You may want to change your kids into old clothes before they start in case they get messy! But, with Surf excel on hand, you won’t need to worry about any stains.
Inspirational Posters – Don’t Forget a Catchy Slogan!
To make truly inspirational posters, your kids will need to come up with a good, catchy slogan. Of course, you may need to help them out here! Use your imagination and see what you can come up with.
Some clever suggestions include ‘Stop Pollution Quick, Don’t Make the Water Sick!’ and ‘Think Blue and Go Green!’, but we’re sure you can do better than that!
